Fidelity is a good investment broker for beginners. They are a reputable broker and known for their mutual funds however, their trading platform is starting to expand. They have great research tools and customer service.

Charles Schwab is overall a great brokerage for beginners because it offers something for investors with virtually any investment need. They have the educational resources for beginners to navigate investing and $0 commissions to attract active traders.

Charles Schwab has three platforms with no minimum or fees, extensive research, and large fund selections. They are great for commission-free stock, options, and ETF trades. Their only downside is low default cash sweep rate.

TD Ameritrade

TD Ameritrade is the best choice for beginners because it provides the best combination of easy to use, education content and research tools needed to succeed. They provide industry leading education for beginners and reliable customer service. TD Ameritrade is great for both active traders and beginner investors with quality trading platforms.

They are great for their $0 commissions on online stock, options, and ETF trades and a large selection of mutual funds. They also have no account minimum which makes it easy to start and good customer support if you run into any problems. The only con is no fractional shares but it is okay because you can invest into other cheaper and reliable stocks!
