529 Plan: My College 529 Plan
Going to college can be expensive. To make the financial journey easier, you might want to look into getting a 529 Plan!
What Is A 529 Plan?
A 529 Plan is an investment and savings account that is tax-free and flexible for college and K-12 expenses. If investments are used for educational purposes (tuition, fees, books, room, board, supplies), earnings are not taxed.

Florida Prepaid
Florida Prepaid is a 529 Plan for Florida residents. Accounts are opened for free, and the amount of money put into savings is up to the Florida Prepaid owner. Funds can be withdrawn at any time.
If a family or student moves out of state, Florida Prepaid is still able to be used. Florida Prepaid is able to be used at most universities, schools, colleges, and more.
If your child does not go to college, A 529 Plan can be closed or transferred to another family member. The remaining balance is able to be withdrawn.
How Does A 529 Plan Help My Family?
A 529 Plan helps my family because it covers my tuition, housing fees, meal plans, supplies, books, and more. I did not realize how beneficial a 529 Plan was until I got to college. I am very thankful my parents had a 529 Plan for me because it helped pay for my college tuition and expenses. When I am older, I will be buying a 529 Plan for my future children or child.
